Congratulations on your admission and welcome to Knight Nation!

As a newly admitted student, you’ll want to begin planning for your transition to ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ right away. Here’s a list of net steps to help make the journey ahead to smoothly.

We encourage you to bookmark or print this list and refer to it throughout the enrollment process.


AFTER ADMISSION

βœ… REVIEW ADMISSION LETTER

You must enroll for the term indicated on your admission letter. If you do not register and enroll for the term to which you are admitted, your classes will be dropped for subsequent terms and your admission revoked. If you wish to change your term of entry, you must submit a new application and fee through your Future Knight Portal.

Check your admission letter for the accuracy of your name, entrance term, address and major. Address, telephone and email changes can be made on myΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½. All other changes must be submitted via email to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at uaoperations@ucf.edu.

βœ… REPLY TO ADMISSION OFFER
    1. Review your Application Status page in the Future Knight Portal.
    2. After viewing your offer of admission, return to the status page.
    3. A Reply to Offer of Admission Form will appear on your status page. You will be prompted to β€œACCEPT” or β€œDECLINE” your offer.
    4. If you choose to accept your admission offer, you will have until the deposit deadline to submit a non-refundable $200 enrollment deposit securing your place in the freshman class. If you choose to decline your offer of admission, your application will be withdrawn, and your admission will be canceled.
βœ… SUBMIT ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT

Your $200 non-refundable enrollment deposit and $1 convenience fee is due no later than May 1 for the summer and fall semesters, and December 1 for the spring semester. After accepting your offer of admission, your application status page will display a new line titled β€œPayment Due.” Click the link to submit payment by the deposit deadline. Visit our Deposit Waiver FAQ to learn how to qualify and request a waiver of the $200 enrollment deposit.

You cannot register for our mandatory orientation until this deposit has been paid or a waiver has been approved and applied to your student account.

βœ… CREATE MYΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ ACCOUNT

You must create an account to access the . MyΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ is where you will apply for housing, review your financial aid summary, update personal information, register for classes, view and pay your tuition and fee invoice, and complete other necessary steps to enroll at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½.

To create a account, visit and click β€œSIGN IN TO MYΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½.” You will need to obtain an NID if you do not already know it. The NID will be your username for . Click β€œWhat is my NID?” on the login page. Your first and last name and email address must be entered exactly as it appears on your application for admission. Once you have your NID, return to the login page to sign in. You should remember and protect your NID and NID password as you would a Social Security number.

βœ… APPLY FOR HOUSING

Many on- and off-campus living arrangements are available to new first-year students. If you desire to live on-campus, you are encouraged to complete the housing application as soon as you are able. View our Housing FAQ to find out when you can apply for on-campus housing.

Information about roommate matching and room selection is also available on the housing website. In addition, the offers resources for living off campus and maintains a listing of off-campus student housing options.

βœ… APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Financial aid is available to students who have been offered admission, filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), are classified as a degree-seeking student, have enrolled in at least one ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ class for the term they have been admitted, and met all other eligibility requirements. If your first term of enrollment at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ is the summer term, you must first complete the prior year’s FAFSA in order to receive financial aid for that term.

If you are a financial aid recipient, your eligibility is based in part, upon the assumption that you have met the admission conditions specified in your admission letter. If it is later determined that you failed to meet an admission condition you will no longer be eligible for financial aid, and it will be canceled. In addition, you will be responsible for repaying any financial aid disbursed to you.

BEFORE ORIENTATION

βœ… REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION

Every new student is required to attend an in-person Orientation. For more information about our mandatory new student program, please visit the . You will sign up for classes at Orientation. You must register for an Orientation session that corresponds to the term to which you are admitted.

Once reservations open, we strongly encourage you to create a reservation for the earliest Orientation date available. The reservation system is designed to display the Orientation dates that are applicable to you based on your term of entry, student type, and other data related to admission status.

Not all Orientation sessions will be open for reservations immediately. Orientation dates will be released on a rolling basis based on demand. We encourage you to reach out to the New Student and Family Programs office at 407-823-5105 or nsfp@ucf.edu with questions or concerns about dates and date selection.

βœ… SUBMIT IMMUNIZATION RECORDS

Prior to attending Orientation, you must upload a completed immunization form to Med+Proctor. The immunization policy and form may be downloaded from the .

βœ… VERIFY RESIDENCY FOR TUITION PURPOSES

If you indicated you are claiming Florida residency for tuition purposes on your application, you must complete the Residency Declaration Form on your Future Knight Portal checklist. After you register for classes, access your fee invoice in to ensure that the appropriate tuition and fees are assessed.

NOTE: Students who did not indicate they are claiming Florida residency for tuition purposes will NOT see a Residency Declaration Form on their Future Knight Portal.

βœ… REVIEW TRANSFER CREDITS

College-level coursework will transfer to ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ from other accredited institutions of higher education that meet university transfer eligibility requirements. However, all of your credits may not meet the specific requirements of your degree program. The department of your major will determine how these credits will be used and applied toward your degree.

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ uses a plus/minus system to calculate a grade point average for transferred coursework. In addition, grade forgiveness is only honored if it has been awarded in conjunction with an A.A. or statewide articulated A.S. degree from a Florida public community college, state college, or state university.

All incoming courses will be reviewed for ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ equivalency once you have signed up for Orientation. The Transfer Credit Evaluation is located in your . To view it, navigate to “Student Self Service” and “Other Academic”. All courses received at the time of admission, as well as any associated ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ equivalencies, will be listed. For courses without a ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ equivalent, you will have the opportunity to upload a syllabus, and the course will be evaluated. You will have limited time to submit syllabi if needed so you should review the Transfer Credit Evaluation in at your earliest convenience.

βœ… SUBMIT DUAL ENROLLMENT TRANSCRIPTS

If you have taken dual enrollment classes through a college or university during high school, you must send an official college transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions once your grades have been posted, even if they appear on your high school transcript. Final official college transcripts must be received no later than June 30 for students enrolling in the summer term, and no later than July 15 for students enrolling in fall. A cumulative 2.0 GPA is required for dual enrollment coursework.

βœ… SUBMIT SCORE REPORTS

If you have taken AICE, AP, CLEP or IB exams, you must send official score reports to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

 

BEFORE CLASSES BEGIN

βœ… SUBMIT FINAL TRANSCRIPTS

An official final transcript showing the date of high school graduation is due no later than June 30 for students enrolling in the summer term, and no later than July 15 for students enrolling in fall. The status of the receipt of these transcripts is available on your . All information on your final high school transcript will be verified. If your transcript does not match information provided on your SPARK Form, your offer of admission may be rescinded.

Failure to meet all admission criteria will result in a change in eligibility for financial aid. Your admission is contingent upon your successful completion of all coursework at a level consistent with that at the time of admission. Your enrollment is not complete until all final transcripts and test scores are on file with Undergraduate Admissions. If you did not demonstrate proficiency to the second level or higher of foreign language or American Sign Language in high school, you will be required to demonstrate competency at the elementary 2 level in one foreign language or ASL prior to graduation from ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½.

βœ… VERIFY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER (SSN)

A missing, incorrect or invalid SSN will prevent the awarding and/or disbursement of Florida Bright Futures and/or financial assistance through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A valid SSN is also required to process certain third-party payments such as Florida Prepaid.

If you are a financial aid recipient, you may be asked to upload a copy of your Social Security Card to the ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ Secure Document Submission Form. It can take 10-15 business days from receipt of your Social Security Card to update your student record.

To review the SSN on file with ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½, log in to , select Student Self Service > Personal Information > Demographic Data. This page will display the SSN as the National ID.

If you are a recipient of the Florida Bright Futures scholarship and you do not have a Social Security Number, OSFA, Office of Student Financial Assistance – FL Department of Education, assigned you a pseudo number when you submitted your Florida Financial Aid Application. This number begins with P00-____. You can access your account on OSFA to view your number. Please email the ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ Office of Student Financial Assistance at finaid@ucf.edu and provide your full name, ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ ID number, and your pseudo number. By doing so, the university will be able to match your information with the state record so your scholarship funds can be disbursed.

βœ… CHECK FOR HOLDS

Failure to provide final official transcripts and test scores will result in a hold being placed on your account. These holds will affect your ability to adjust your schedule, register for future terms, receive grades or have transcripts sent to other institutions. These holds will also delay the disbursement of financial aid.
