Students must see a study abroad advisor BEFORE reaching out to the Office of Student Financial Assistance.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Make an appointment with the Office of Student Financial Assistance to discuss your anticipated award amount and how it can be applied to education abroad. For all study abroad financial aid inquiries please email <a href=\"mailto:SFAStudyAbroad@ucf.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SFAStudyAbroad@ucf.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Apply for financial aid. Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Check the Office of Student Financial Assistance website for a complete explanation of the financial aid process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Set up a direct deposit authorization in myÂ鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ so that your funds can be deposited electronically around the world.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Make sure you know your payment deadlines and how you plan to pay for your program. You may need to pay some expenses, such as application fees, program deposits, airfare, passport, visa, etc., before your financial aid is disbursed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Institutional financial aid programs such as Pegasus Scholarships and institutional grants require enrollment in Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ credit hours.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ programs such as short term and exchange programs (students who registered their courses in their Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ portal) are eligible for Bright Futures, Federal, and Florida financial aid. Partner Programs are only eligible for Federal and Private financial aid.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>Most types of financial aid eligibility require a minimum of 6 hours of enrollment, including the approved study abroad programs. Please review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/financial-aid\/resources\/program-eligibility-charts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Program Eligibility Charts<\/a> for the minimum hours required by each type of aid to be eligible for financial aid disbursement.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><li class=\"icon-list-item\">\n\t\t<span class=\"icon-list-bullet icon-list-bullet-fonticon fa fa-check-square-o text-primary\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t<div class=\"icon-list-item-content\"><p>A student\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/financial-aid\/policies\/satisfactory-academic-progress\/status\/\">SAP status<\/a> is evaluated every semester to include newly earned grades into their status.
