A TEACH Grant can help you pay for college if you plan to become a teacher in a high-need field in a low-income area.<\/p>\n

Congress created the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program that provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to students who will commit to teach in designated high need fields in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves students from low-income families. As required by the\u00a0Budget Control Act of 2011<\/em> (the sequester law), any TEACH Grant where the first disbursement is on or after October 1, 2020 and before October 1, 2026 requires a reduction of 5.7 percent from the award amount for which the student would otherwise have been eligible.<\/p>\n\t\t\t

Qualified recipients will be selected and notified. Students do not need to contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to complete an application or a request for consideration. Students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered. Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ students determined to be eligible by the College of Community Innovation and Education and the Office of Student Financial Assistance will be contacted.<\/p>\n
