Bert Francis has been serving as the division’s interim vice president and chief financial officer since October 2025. In addition to these roles, he continues to serve as university treasurer, as well as treasurer for several Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ direct support organizations (DSOs), including the Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Convocation Corporation, Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Finance Corporation, and Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Stadium Corporation. He also serves as president and treasurer of Legacy Pointe at Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½, a university-affiliated continuing care retirement community.

In total, Bert has 18+ years of GASB finance and accounting experience. He previously served as the controller for 4 of the university’s DSOs including the Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Convocation Corporation, which manages a budget of over $30 million for the Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Arena; the Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Towers housing facilities, and surrounding retail areas; the Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Stadium Corporation, which includes all financial activity relating to Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½â€™s Spectrum Stadium; the Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ Finance Corporation which is a corporation used to facilitate debt related transactions on behalf of the university; and Limbitless Solutions Inc., which primarily develops innovative 3D-printed prosthetic limbs for children.

Bert graduated from Âé¶¹Ó³»­´«Ã½ with a bachelor’s in business administration accounting major in 2005, a master’s degree in business administration in 2009, and obtained his Florida CPA license in 2013.
