Bert Francis has been serving as the division’s interim vice president and chief financial officer since October 2025. In addition to these roles, he continues to serve as university treasurer, as well as treasurer for several Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ direct support organizations (DSOs), including the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Convocation Corporation, Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Finance Corporation, and Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Stadium Corporation. He also serves as president and treasurer of Legacy Pointe at Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½, a university-affiliated continuing care retirement community.
In total, Bert has 18+ years of GASB finance and accounting experience. He previously served as the controller for 4 of the university’s DSOs including the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Convocation Corporation, which manages a budget of over $30 million for the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Arena; the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Towers housing facilities, and surrounding retail areas; the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Stadium Corporation, which includes all financial activity relating to Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½â€™s Spectrum Stadium; the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Finance Corporation which is a corporation used to facilitate debt related transactions on behalf of the university; and Limbitless Solutions Inc., which primarily develops innovative 3D-printed prosthetic limbs for children.
Bert graduated from Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ with a bachelor’s in business administration accounting major in 2005, a master’s degree in business administration in 2009, and obtained his Florida CPA license in 2013.
