The Sophomore & Second Year Center collaborated with the Student Financial Assistance and college advising support offices in providing a β€œFinancial Aid Information” session on October 11 for sophomores and second-year ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½ students. This outreach information program was offered as part of β€œSophomore Transition” initiatives.

Students received important financial aid updates and discussion on how β€œnot to lose their financial aid” from Stephon Lewis and two other SFA representatives. The program discussion topics included: financial aid renewal, satisfactory academic progress, scholarships and Bright Futures, the loan process at ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½, and funds for books.

A number of questions were asked during the general Q&A portion of this session. One student commented, β€œThis was a real valuable program, as I am concerned about keeping my scholarship after this semester. Thanks for offering this session.”
