The ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for its dedication to improving the community.

ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ was one of 22 institutions in Florida and 642 nationwide to be selected by the U.S. Department of Education and the Corporation for National and Community Service.

β€œThese institutions are creating the next generation of leaders by challenging students to tackle tough issues and create positive impacts in the community,” said Robert Velasco, acting CEO of CNCS. β€œService and learning increase civic engagement while fostering social innovation among students, empowering them to solve challenges within their communities.”

The CNCS is federal agency that engages more than 5 million Americans in service through its Senior Corps, AmeriCorps, and Learn and Serve America programs, and leads President Obama’s national call-to-service initiative, United We Serve.
