The Schagerl Festival brings together the very finest professional brass soloists, teachers, and ensembles from around the world. All of the concerts and master classes will be held at Stift Melk, a one-thousand year old abbey in Melk, Austria.<\/p>\n
The Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Trumpet Ensemble will perform two concerts in which they will premier works by Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ composers, alumni, and a special commissioned work by composer\/trumpeter Bert Truax. This piece will showcase Lyman Brodie, associate dean in the College of Arts and Humanities, and a professor in the Department of Music, with the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Trumpet Ensemble.<\/p>\n
In addition, the ensemble has been invited to perform a combined trumpet ensemble concert with the trumpet studio from the Mozarteum which is considered to be the Juilliard School of Europe.<\/p>\n
After the Schagerl Festival has concluded, the students have been invited to attend a special trumpet master class at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and it will be presented by Professor Hans Gansch, an internationally recognized trumpet soloist and teacher.<\/p>\n
