A new CD from The Jazz Professors is keeping some impressive company near the top of the charts, having climbed to No. 26. The album from Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½’s esteemed jazz faculty previously entered the JazzWeek<\/em> album radio airplay chart at No. 33 during its second week of release.<\/p>\n The Jazz Professors: Live at the Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½-Orlando Jazz Festival<\/em> features director of Jazz Studies Jeff Rupert, Per Danielsson, Marty Morrell, Richard Drexler, and Bobby Koelble.<\/p>\n Having performed, recorded and toured with a veritable \u201cwho\u2019s who\u201d of the jazz realm, these musicians contradict Mencken\u2019s adage: \u201cThose who can\u2013do. Those who can\u2019t\u2013teach.\u201d The performance was recorded live at the 3rd-Annual Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½-Orlando Jazz Festival on March 20, 2010, featuring a guest appearance from preeminent saxophonist Grant Stewart.<\/p>\n
