{"id":23700,"date":"2011-05-10T13:12:30","date_gmt":"2011-05-10T17:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=23700"},"modified":"2018-10-17T15:48:52","modified_gmt":"2018-10-17T19:48:52","slug":"ucf-football-posts-record-spring-gpa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-football-posts-record-spring-gpa\/","title":{"rendered":"Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ Football Posts Record Spring GPA"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<p>With the 2011 football season quickly approaching, Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½\u2019s team has already posted an impressive accomplishment this year. <\/p>\n<p>The Knights recorded a 2.844 team grade point average during the spring semester, a record for the program.<\/p>\n<p>Fifty-five Knights, more than 50 percent of the team, posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Following the spring, the team now boasts a 2.842 cumulative GPA.<\/p>\n<p>In April, 35 members of the team garnered spots on the Conference USA Commissioner\u2019s Academic Honor Roll with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA in the 2010 spring and\/or fall terms.<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen Knights received their bachelor\u2019s degrees last weekend, including five who will suit up for Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Graduates included Lyle Dankenbring, A.J. Guyton, Adam Nissley, Nick Pieschel and Ronnie Weaver. They will be working on either master\u2019s degrees or second bachelor\u2019s degrees while they compete for Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ this year.<\/p>\n<p>Kamar Aiken, Justin Boddie, Jack Carter, James Getsee, Derrick Hallman, Omar Hansborough, Austin Hudson, Ricky Kay and Abre Leggins also graduated last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The 2011 Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ football schedule includes dates six home games at Bright House Networks Stadium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sept. 3 CHARLESTON SOUTHERN (Champions Weekend)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sept. 10 BOSTON COLLEGE (Hall of Fame Weekend)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sept. 17 at Florida International<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 23 (Fri) at BYU<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oct. 8 MARSHALL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oct. 15 at SMU<\/p>\n<p>Oct. 22 at UAB<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oct. 29 MEMPHIS (Homecoming Weekend)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nov. 5 TULSA<\/p>\n<p>Nov. 12 at Southern Miss<\/p>\n<p>Nov. 19 at East Carolina<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nov. 26 UTEP (Senior Day)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Home games at Bright House Networks Stadium are capitalized. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Game dates are subject to upcoming television selections.
