Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor of conservative news magazine The National Review<\/em>, will speak at the Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ about the most pressing matters the winner of the 2012 U.S. presidential race will face.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn Agenda for the Next President in the United States and Abroad\u201d will begin at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the Cape Florida Ballroom of the Student Union. Organized by the Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ Global Perspectives Office, the event is part of the 2011-12 \u201cIndia Speaker Series.\u201d It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Ponnuru, who also is a columnist for TIME magazine, was previously a fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London and a media fellow at Stanford University\u2019s Hoover Institution. In 2006 he authored \u201cThe Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ponnuru has published articles in numerous newspapers including The New York Times<\/em>, The Washington Post<\/em>, The Wall Street Journal<\/em>, The Financial Times<\/em>, Newsday<\/em>, and The New York Post<\/em>. He has also appeared on CNN’s Inside Politics, NBC’s The McLaughlin Group, MSNBC’s Buchanan & Press, Fox News, and NPR’s “Morning Edition.\u201d<\/p>\n
