The Sophomore & Second Year Center collaborated with the Student Financial Assistance and college advising support offices in providing a \u201cFinancial Aid Information\u201d session on October 11 for sophomores and second-year Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ students. This outreach information program was offered as part of \u201cSophomore Transition\u201d initiatives.<\/p>\n

Students received important financial aid updates and discussion on how \u201cnot to lose their financial aid\u201d from Stephon Lewis and two other SFA representatives. The program discussion topics included: financial aid renewal, satisfactory academic progress, scholarships and Bright Futures, the loan process at Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½, and funds for books.<\/p>\n

A number of questions were asked during the general Q&A portion of this session. One student commented, \u201cThis was a real valuable program, as I am concerned about keeping my scholarship after this semester. Thanks for offering this session.\u201d<\/p>\n
