{"id":33816,"date":"2012-03-13T17:30:28","date_gmt":"2012-03-13T21:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=33816"},"modified":"2023-11-21T12:41:24","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T17:41:24","slug":"11-ucf-graduate-programs-in-top-100-rankings-by-u-s-news-world-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/11-ucf-graduate-programs-in-top-100-rankings-by-u-s-news-world-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Several Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ Graduate Programs in Top 100 Rankings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>U.S. News &amp; World Report\u2019s Best Graduate Schools<\/em> guide today ranked the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/degree\/nonprofit-management-m-n-m\/\">Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ master\u2019s program in Nonprofit Management<\/a> among that field\u2019s best 25 programs in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Three additional graduate programs from the university\u2019s College of Health &amp; Public\u00a0Affairs were ranked near the top: Criminology (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/degree\/criminal-justice-ms\/\">Criminal Justice at Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½<\/a>) was ranked 26th in its category, Healthcare Management (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/degree\/health-administration-mha\/health-services-administration\/\">Health Services Administration<\/a>) was ranked 46th, and Public Affairs (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/degree\/public-administration-mpa\/\">Public Administration<\/a>)\u00a0was listed at 59th.<\/p>\n<p>All four of the COHPA programs moved up in their rankings this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeer rankings such as these reflect our faculty\u2019s dedication and commitment to offering the highest quality graduate programs,\u201d said Michael Frumkin, dean of the College of Health &amp; Public Affairs. \u201cI\u2019m extraordinarily proud of our growing national reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The College of Education also had two programs ranked in the top 25. Its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/degree\/counselor-education-ma\/\">graduate counselor education program<\/a> ranked 11th and its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/degree\/exceptional-student-education-med\/\">special education graduate program<\/a> ranked 14th. The College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL) also had a program listed at number 13.<\/p>\n<p>Others from Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ in the top 100 of their specific fields were: Industrial Engineering (48), Computer Engineering (57), Electrical Engineering (62), Environmental Engineering (68), Best Engineering School (72), Materials Engineering (74), Speech-Language Pathology [Communication Sciences and Disorders] (73), Nursing (79), Social Work (89), Civil Engineering (81), Physical Therapy (99) and Best Education School (100).<\/p>\n<p>More than 1,200 programs were reviewed for the magazine\u2019s annual graduate-school guide.
