College of Education<\/a>, the event will be held on the walkways surrounding the main campus\u2019 Teaching Academy from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\nThe theme for the competition is Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½\u2019s 50th anniversary, and artists are invited to work individually or in teams to create images commemorating the celebration. Chalk art will be judged by local artists and art educators, and prizes from Orlando art store Sam Flax will be awarded.<\/p>\n
Along with the art competition, local artist Lee Jones will give a presentation on Madonnari, which means \u201cstreet painting\u201d in Italian, at noon in Room 130 of the Teaching Academy.<\/p>\n
Jones\u2019 presentation is free and open to the public. Entry into the art competition is $5, and participants must bring their own supplies. The competition is open to 50 participants, and registration is available.<\/p>\n
The chalk art event is part of the College of Education\u2019s weeklong celebration of Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½\u2019s 50th anniversary.
