Volunteer Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ will host its 8th annual Knights Give Back day of service Saturday, Oct. 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Volunteers will meet at Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ and then be transported to 25 different service sites throughout Central Florida, such as the Evans Community School, Oakland Nature Preserve and Habitat for Humanity of Seminole. More than 1,300 volunteers are expected.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re really looking forward to having Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ students, faculty and alumni working together,\u201d said VÂ鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ student director Todd Currie. \u201cThis year, we plan on hosting the largest Knights Give Back in VÂ鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ history with more organizations and volunteers than ever before.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s event is anticipated to facilitate about 5,200 hours of community service, totaling more than $117,000 of community impact.
