Nursing students received first and second place scholarship awards in two categories at the Showcase for Undergraduate Research Excellence (SURE) earlier this month during Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½/news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/u2019s annual Research Week./news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/n In the Health Sciences I category, Chelsea Hughes won first place for her research, /news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/u201cDosing Accuracy While Administering Oral Medications,/news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/u201d which focused on the major problem of inaccurate dosing of children/news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/u2019s liquid medication that causes adverse effects for children every year./news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/n Second place was earned by Shannon Hassett for her research, /news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/u201cTechnologies to Enhance Optimal Glycemic Control in Young Adults with Type 1 Diabetes./news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/u201d/news/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/72075/n Her thesis was based on exploring how the use of technology like glucose monitors could lead to better control of Type 1 Diabetes in adults ages 18 to 30.
