In anticipation of World Heart Day, Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Heart Day will provide free hands-only CPR instruction to the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ community on Wednesday, Sept. 27.<\/p>\n
Twenty-minute hands-only CPR sessions will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Key West Ballroom of the Student Union (Room 218).\u00a0 The sessions will also include instruction on the use of AEDs and information about heart health.<\/p>\n
Hands-only CPR is cardiopulmonary resuscitation without mouth-to-mouth. It is recommended for use by people who see a teen or adult suddenly collapse in an \u201cout-of-hospital\u201d setting, such as at home, work, or in a public place.<\/p>\n
Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Heart Day is a collaboration among Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Environmental Health and Safety, the Department of Security and Emergency Management, the Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Police Department, Â鶹ӳ»´«Ã½ Student Government Association, Orange County Fire Rescue, and other community partners.<\/p>\n
