From an augmented reality restaurant menu that could change the way we order food to proposed solar sculptures for Orlando City Stadium, 600 Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½ engineering \u00a0and computer science students will display 125 innovative projects Thursday during the Spring 2018 Senior Design Showcase<\/a>.<\/p>\n The projects, which will be on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Harris Engineering Center<\/a> and Engineering Building II<\/a>, is a culmination of eight-months of effort that students must complete for their capstone senior design course. Engineering and computer science students take Senior Design I<\/em> to brainstorm and design a project before bringing them to life in Senior Design II<\/em> the following semester.<\/p>\n Uniting Florida Engineering Students<\/strong><\/p>\n This year\u2019s showing will have even more to offer, as students from nine other engineering colleges present 25 additional projects for the first Florida-Wide Student Engineering Design Invitational.<\/p>\n The partnership shows how strong engineering and computer science talent is being developed at universities to fuel Florida\u2019s innovation economy. Âé¶¹Ó³»´«Ã½ is the nation\u2019s No. 1 workforce supplier to the aerospace and defense industry<\/a> and is among the nation\u2019s top producers of engineers and computer scientists.<\/p>\n
