Donors who have included Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ and future Knights in their estate plans<\/a> were honored at the recent annual Charles Millican Legacy Society reception during\u00a0Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ Celebrates the Arts at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.<\/p>\n

Named for Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½\u2019s founding President Charles N. Millican, the society has more than 200 members.<\/p>\n

At the event, Lyman Brodie, the\u00a0College of Arts and Humanities’<\/a>\u00a0executive associate dean, shared his reasons for making a planned gift to the university, and recognized his wife, Janice, a former Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ stewardship director, who was instrumental in establishing the society several years ago.<\/p>\n

Michael Morsberger, CEO of the Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ Foundation, gave updates on the university\u2019s fundraising efforts and thanked all of those who have invested in the future of Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½. The Millican Society members were recognized for the $78 million in planned gift commitments to Â鶹ӳ»­´«Ã½ during the IGNITE Campaign, the multi-year fundraising effort to help support the university.<\/p>\n

After the reception, guests attended a performance of the National Young Composers Challenge Composium, made possible by Millican Society member Stephen Goldman, and the Stephen H.
