During the COVID-19 pandemic, one ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½ student was at the forefront of serving the community. Kimberly Bogers worked as a nurse at Nemours Childrenβs Hospital while earning her master’s degree in leadership and management and a nurse educator certificate. After receiving her Nursing BSN at ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½, Bogers continued her graduate program at the university because of the experience she had while earning her BSN. βI had such an awesome experience with ΒιΆΉΣ³»΄«Γ½ as an undergraduate, so I didnβt even consider looking at any other universities for my graduate school journey,β she says.
As a fraternal triplet, Bogers finds that she stands out professionally because of her passion for involvement. βI love to be involved with organizations and projects that I feel are making a positive impact on the world around them, and I rarely hesitate to help out if help is needed,β Bogers says.
Along with her studies and nursing job, Bogers served as the reunion chair for the College of Nursingβs Alumni Chapter and the webmaster/social media chair for the Theta Epsilon chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She gives advice to students saying, βTime management is so important! Make sure to keep track of the due dates for your assignments and projects, and donβt be afraid to ask for help or guidance early on if youβre confused.β
After graduation, Bogers continued working as a registered nurse, helping with education, research, and improvement projects within her department and the hospital. She also spends time in community health nursing, providing local communities with health resources and education, especially for children and teenagers.
βMy mantra is ‘life is short, be kind,’β Bogers says.
