Members of the ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ community and the public are invited to β€œFood 4 Thought,” a weeklong celebration at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ that will highlight sustainable food.

Events will run from Monday, Nov. 14, through Friday, Nov. 18. They will include a film screening, guest speaker and panel discussion. Other highlights include a luncheon featuring locally-sourced ingredients and a tasting of responsibly-sourced coffee.

β€œFood 4 Thought” is hosted by ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ Dining Services in partnership with the ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ Library, I.D.E.A.S. for ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½, E.Co, the ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ General Education Program Unifying Theme and Slow Food Orlando.

Throughout November, ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ Dining Services and the ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ Library also are hosting an exhibit that focuses on sustainable food initiatives at ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½, in the community and throughout the globe.

The green-minded food lovers exhibit includes books such as β€œFood Rules” by Michael Pollan and β€œWaste and Want” by Susan Strasser, and films such as β€œThe Cove” and β€œA Crude Awakening.”
